My drain pours usually end up on the outdoor plants. The worms seem to love it and worms are good for the soil.

Bold choice. That beer gets a lot of hate around here, but I love it. Cheers!

Having a pale ale (Dusty Roadz brewed by Veil) before heading to this family owned Italian restaurant tocelebrate wife's birthday. You can assure @DoctorZombies that we will not be driving. I know he worries about me.

Hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Felt better today and got a lot of work done, including a report that was over a year late; because of waiting on other department validation. We've been asking for it for well over a year.

Anyways, I made it to 32 trips around the nearest star. Last weekend I got a few vape pens to try out. Really liking it, I only smoke occasionally now. Maybe 25% as much. I haven't dipped smokeless in over 2 weeks. I went looking online for a nice semi-advanced mod kit, and found one I really like with very high reviews. I did some research and this is basically like it's own hobby/subculture, with making your own coils and tweaking settings to get bigger flavor hits etc. Sounds like fun. I will get it for my gift to myself. I will check if the vape store has it in stock down the street, but if not I'll buy it online. They have a bajillion flavor bottles in the store to keep things interesting for a long time. Neat thing is I can use at work and just blow the vapor under my corner desk and I am not bothering anyone. The smell dissipates really quickly.

    Beer:

Kettlehead from @SawDog505. This was fantastic! Opaquely hazy green color, great rocky head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, lemon, lime, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, onion, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, bready, grainy malts; some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, not aggressive, minimal warming 8%. Feels like Motueka, Pacific Gem, and Pacific Jade. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a great wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on stuff for an NEIPA! 4.25

Chinese for dinner. Paired absolutely perfectly with an Asahi - crisp, clean, refreshing.

In fact, I decided to have another now that dinner is over.

That last one went down ridiculously fast...even for me. My last of these. This was my kayak beer on the Virginia trip, now, today, it’s my steak beer I just barbecued. Huge fan of this one.
