Drinking Cherry Chouffe at the moment which is a limited edition of Chouffe I bought the first time about 1 year and a half ago because of that brewery’s legacy. Its huge flavors of dark cherries and the quite quaffable beer it is for 8% makes for a proper summer afternoon refreshment.

It's a nice smooth slow sipper... I would be on my third ipa or lager if I wasnt drinking this

Hello, Advocates. Coming at you from the land of @JamFuel with a Pilsner. A good lager. Clean, crisp and light on the palate. Some grassy bitterness, and a dry, bready finish.

A couple beers before heading out to a family dinner later for an unseasonable serving of Palt, a dish I can describe only as a pastey ball of mashed potato mixed with wet concrete. Fortunately there is meat on the inside, and loaded butter and lingonberry it is somewhat edible.

    Cheers!

Good mornin' Colorado! And to the rest of ya... a little light ipa sipper to start the day, then mostly ghost. Hittin' the road tomorrow to high country to see some Colorado rivers (the Yampa, the Colorado (yes), and the Roaring Fork) before the start of August. Cheers!

This seems like a Pale ale. I’m not terribly impressed.

    Neither is Alice!

It's around here too, at one supermarket chain I believe.
This Chouffe is a bit too sweet for my taste-buts I'm afraid. Had it once last year. Maybe I should give it another chance. It is La Chouffe after all.
    Cheers!

Perhaps you just dislike these fruit or lambic beers? What did you think of Cantillon, 3F and the likes?

I like Kriek lambic now and then and other fruit beer or sours. And of course classic Belgian sours like 3 Fonteinen.
Going for a retry and hope to find some Cherry Chouffe the coming days.
    Cheers!

Apparently my sunburn has affected my ability to take a good picture. My wife said my face looks like an orangutan’s ass :thinking_face:so I’m staying out of the sun today.

    Having an Orval.
This is one of the beers that keeps impressing me. Normally I pick up a case of this beer in Belgium (when I have the chance) to enjoy it over the year. Taste keeps evolving over the year(s) very nicely.
    Cheers!

Happy Monday, BA (oxymoron, I know).

Currently drinking a Guinness (which I purchased at the brewery), at our hotel in Cork while drying off. We spent the morning traveling to a little village north of here where my wife’s family is from. Met some very nice people.

Had to duck into a pub (oh no) a little while ago to hide from the rain.

Had a Beamish Stout (which I think I prefer to Guinness)

    Hopspur Bitter on cask
    [IMG]

And then a Great Western Brewing Moose River Pale Ale. A Canadian Ale they also had on cask. Pretty tasty.

Last night, went to a local brewery called Franciscian Well.

Had a Hefe that was pretty tasty
    [IMG]

Followed by a California Common, that was unfortunately pretty bad.

Closed the night out with their Irish Stout, which was awesome!

Awesome! Made a note of that Beamish Stout to try when I'm in Ireland. Never had it, but I've only been to Northern Ireland so far.

Yea! It’s good! Fuller mouthfeel, with a bit more roasty malt character than Guinness
