My friend. I will be in Chicago next week. One night. But the best part is that I’ll be driving to Milwaukee after. That means I get to stop in Kenosha at the Mars Cheese Castle. I plan to buy some cheese and hopefully find some New Glarus to bring back home with me.

Anything else you suggest I seek out other then the obvious 3 Sheeps? @scream

Amazing batch this year as usual. Fantastic lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, no warmth of 7.6%. Feels like Simcoe, Citra, Galaxy. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a great clean bready pale malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering crisp resin dryness. Got 2 packs already, and would buy more. Just as impressive as it ever was since the beginning.

I would have never picked this one up, but my wife had a sip in Ohio and brought home a six pack. Pretty nice beer. Cheers all!

 

Try to visit 1840 or Eagle Park. Otherwise, stop by Discount Liquor. That is the best store in the state. I plan to stop there this weekend, so I will see what is good.

 

Shout out to @GreenBayBA This deli/beer mart by my house is a Packer bar. They are showing the preseason Packer game right now - it’s an internet feed, so it’s more pixelated than the Spice channel I used to watch as a kid.
