Hope everyone had a good Saturday so far. Got another massive beer haul today. Fridge is restocked.:sunglasses:

Resilience Absence of Cake. New brewery to the state. Excellent American stout. Great fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark/brown bread/crust, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and pine; with lighter notes of molasses, smoke, charcoal, dark fruit, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very creamy, bready, grainy malts; some sticky/resinous hops, and chalky char in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness; no acrid/astringency. Very smooth, minimal warming 6.2%. Not overly bitter/charred. Spot on style. No complaints. Great balance of rich dark/black/roasted malts and earthy hops; with mild fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Delicious. 4

I heard Bon Jovi on the radio on my way home from the store, and listened to the discography for 3 hours.

Quite a nice Belgian IPA with a great balance of sweet malts, estery fruit/spice and hoppy accents.

They all make a bad one now and again. I had a shit tire from Continental that couldn't be balanced. Heard the same thing about some BFG's and Falken too.

This Hop Butcher was good but for me too sweet.

My first solo J. Wakefield beer to follow up my first Surly beer... let's see what this is like.

    Review here!

Summary: Impact font sucks but this beer does not! In fact, this is great stuff. I love how balanced it is, while still rocking the pineapple flavor pretty apparently. I've had enough pineapple IPAs and sours to know this is a tough fruit to work with when it comes to balancing its sweetness and acidity with the base beer. To me, this is a fantastic offering!

Ever wondered what it'd sound like if Godflesh played black metal? Well, wonder no longer... how did I miss this massive slab of intense industrial brutality? Love it.

Wow, what a coincidence! This beer and its brother "Relaxin' All Cool" are the two up next for review today... hope I don't think the same of them as you do, but I also have no expectations going in... excited to check 'em out. Cheers.

Relaxin All Cool worked for me more. This one was 100% juice but I missed a bit of bite to balance.

I don't get this too often and the last couple I've had have been less than stellar. This, however, is as good as it gets! Canned 07/30/19.
    Cheers!

Damn. One more. Sweden is producing a lot of farmhouse breweries that are really good... this is brand new to me, and a terrific dry hopped sour...

    Ok. I had a quickie.

And now having Mettle for the first time in a while. This batch better than the last I tried. Still different than way back when but enjoyable.

From @AZBeerDude72. Tombstone All The People Will Be Checked The Handbag - NEDIPA. This was fantastic. Opaquely hazy. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, bready malts; some sticky hops and resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, mild increasing warmth of 8.1%. Fantastic El Dorado, Citra, Amarillo profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on stuff as expected. 4.23

Evening, BAs! Grilling again since my kitchen currently looks like this:

Just got the cabinets delivered today, and installation isn't until the 19th. So we're using the grill and instant pot for everything.

Having my favorite cheap beer while the chops and onions char.
