    Freak Folk Bier opened less than a month ago and we were lucky enough to receive their first two packaged offerings. First up, a chardonnay barrel aged wild ale. Cheers!

    Brewed December, 2019
    Bottled Conditioned 04/19/19.
    Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a slightly hazy, light golden, straw colored body with some very nice lacing. Nose of funk, lemon, oak, and white grape. Taste mirrors nose with a nicely refreshing lemony chardonnay finish. Nice feel and overall, a great first impression of a new Vermont brewery. Cheers to the Folks!

    Pale yellow color; incredibly active carbonation; head is thick, white, and creamy. Beautiful aroma; citrus and gentle spices; mild biscuit scent. Well-balanced multitude of flavors; biscuit and lemon; bread crust; fine hop bitterness; mild estery juiciness. Light body with a gentle sharpness on the palate; fairly dry throughout; warm.

    This is an outstanding pilsner collaboration between Untitled Art and Fair State. Light, balanced and flavorful with a wonderful complexity for the style.
