    Finally heading home after camping for a few days on the Eastern Sierra. Last stop on our 395 beer tour after Mammoth Brewing and our personal favorite June Lake Brewing. Finally getting to try out the new spot in Bridgeport, Big Meadow.

    Well, this beer is a trip. Amazing Haze by Stigbergets was, when it first came out a few years ago, one of the best NE IPAs I’ve ever had. Juicy, soft, pillowy and amazing. Yes, it rivaled Tree House, Trillium, Other Half, anyone. Then Stigbergets totally lost the mojo, and the beer changed, a lot. Fast forward a bit, and they got it back, almost to where it was at the start. Now they have started canning and... I don’t know. It’s gotten what I’ve started to think of as a house flavor for Stigbergets, which is earthy and piney. Right now, this is a pretty good west coast IPA. And that is quite a fall. Pity.

    We had a prior commitment to watch our friends’ dogs for September, so our friends could go to Europe for a wedding...so we left what appears now to be the relative safety of SWFL for the marshy tidal plane surrounding Charleston, SC...we will be fine.

    We are already flooding in down town St. Marys ... but very minor. That seems to be the big threat here. We are expecting two feet of flooding here, so that could be a big freaking deal, but the latest forecasts suggest the wind won't be too bad.

    I'm hunkering down with plenty of people and animals, and even more beer and non-perishable food, so we will be fine as long as the roof stays on. :grinning:

    I LOOOVE Foam. If you ever get to Burlington, a few hours at Foam is practically required. Great spot, great people, great beer.
