This is really quite impressive. Tart and sweet with a mild funk. Easy drinking and loads of apricot on the nose. A winner!

    Microbrasserie Le Castor Abricot.

Hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Pretty busy day with handling some stuff to present for tomorrow to the VI Managers. One of my former colleagues pinged me this morning to tell me that they have an open Program Manager position open, and I found the corresponding career site posting. I am going to give a shot at getting an interview. Just need to polish up my resume I haven't touched in at least 4 years. I have been in my current engineering position for over 7 years now, so it's time for a change of pace. I have worked with numerous Program Managers and Vehicle Integration people in the past, this should be a piece of cake. I have no part design experience, but on a whole vehicle level I am an expert. That's exactly what the job does. Also helps knowing someone in the same group for a quick reference.

Ascension Hot Dog Brain. Outstanding Kolsch. Fantastic fluffy head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightkly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Creamy/bready/grainy malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness; no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.9%. Great clean pale/wheat malt showcase, with great noble hop presence/balance for the style. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. One of the best Kolsch I've had in a while. 4.18

    Happy Tuesday!

Had a super fun super fast sail last night on my Hobie Cat - must have been going 20+ knots several times....which feels like you are flying in a lightweight 14 ft cat! Awesome - until my beer t-shirt I was wearing - which I had taken off as it was warm - blew into the lake - I did a 360 gybe (sailing manuever where you turn suddenly into the wind, causing the sail / boom to crash over to the other side), and retrieved the errant shirt, but my traveler car - which controls the mainsail - broke, leaving me with no way to control the sail on a gusty windy evening, and I was miles away from home....ah well, I improvised with a shock cord holding it in place, and was able to limp back to my dock before dark! All in good fun!

    Drinking now.....yummo

I gotta tell ya, after all those Festbiers I needed a proper hop kick and this certainly delivers with an incredible aroma, rich flavor and mouthfeel for an APA, with some lovely ripe peaches, grapefruit and lighter tropical notes of papaya, with quite a bitter and somewhat piney finish. Blech.Brut is definitely one to watch.

My first go with Pirate Bomb ba. Wow, this is impressive. Big and bold flavors with just crazy barrel/base balance. Doesn't hurt that rum is probably my favorite liquor. A little pricy but it really delivers,
