SAVAGES (v2) Hints/Hauls

My turn to make an ass of myself with the blind beer provided by @Bum4ever.



It’s a 375 ml bottle. Same contour as a Russian River or Crooked Stave bottle. Did he pull the cork and cap it to fuck with me? Note to self, I need to do this to fuck with people.

Removed the cap and took a whiff, definitely a sour beer. Pours dark red / purple in color. No head on the beer. First sip, very dry definitely fermented with Brett. Not getting much fruit. Letting it warm up to see if I can figure out the fruit used.

While I waited, I checked to see if it’s a Russian River sour that’s been capped - it’s not. The tops of the bottles are different.


Took another couple sips - still no clue on the fruit used. Based on the color, I’m guessing raspberry, blueberry or blackberry used in the beer - maybe a combo of them.

Got the Brett. Didn’t pick up the wine barrel though. The fruit was tough as well. Thanks for sharing this @Bum4ever. Enjoying this more as it warms up.

Yes I did. A math guy I presume? I showed my wife and said maybe I could convert some hints into accounting language. She said they then may think you are not cool. I have never been cool.

My nonsense aside, maybe in a private conversation I could tell you my targets and you could give me some suggested hints. Yes be thankful, you are not a target.

Speaking of thankful, one of our friends from SC may be visiting in December. Be cool if you could make yourself present in Richmond one or more of those days.

Have you had any Triple Crossing before? Most of their DIPAs in my humble opinion are better than Veil.

I have met a number of BA folks at The Answer. Seems to be the draw. To be honest I rarelyu go there. Maybe the traffic is a bitch. Last BIF I sent just one Answer crowler to each target. Given the interest, I plan to send two crowlers to each.

If folks out there would not be happy with The Answer brews, let me know. Shit load of other stuff in Richmond.

 

One more day of work till the weekend for me, but it's the biggie - 13 hours.

I'm so excited about Sunday, it's my little nephew's birthday party, and it's a big milestone - he's turning 20 - no more being a teenager for him.

A stop at Minnesota's Largest Candy store will also happen, which is across the highway from where the party is happening. I don't eat candy, but they do have other goodies there. I might also make a stop at a brewery, and enjoy 1 there, just don't know the place yet - so many to chose from.

And, yes, when I say one, it is one.
