Yeah for how much absolute garbage we put out compared to Utah and Iowa (registered IPA Meccas), you’d think those states would have gotten a few more medals than they did

All the naysayers are gonna come in with "random brewery A didnt send their one off hazy boi so GABF results dont matter". Good to see Comrade and Weldwerks slaying it, two sides to the hoppy coin.

The beauty of it all is that CO, even though some consider Utah and Iowa IPAs, are thoroughly represented in basically ALL the hoppy categories.

    Weldwerks
    Comrade
    Cannonball creek
    Odell

Aaaand maybe some others I’m not seeing.. there’s a legit argument to be made that we have the best hops in the world - sorry if you don’t

Long Story. It was a whole lot of ‘Stuff’ leading up to GABF. Bottom of Page1 and part of Page 2. For Reference. Not worth rehashing.

TL DR some dude from utah was hyping TG. And I was an unabashed asshole. To which I make no appologies.

There’s certainly no one saying anyone in UT makes great hoppy beer

He (I think it was him, not going to go back and search, it was definitely in this thread) did get me to splash out for a 4 pack of that Pompei which unfortunately I found to be both a little watery/thin and a little (oddly) harsh, for a NEIPA. This beer if brewed by a CO brewery would be no big deal. I don’t rate a lot but a I am a kind rater and I would probably give it 3.5s across the board.

And—I still like the Sues, a lot. Not prejudiced against TG at all.

Not sure if it's related to GABF, but we just got a trickle of Rothaus Tannenzaefle.
I'll take that beer over literally any other one that showed up.

Had King Sue on draft last night and it was okay.. considerably better than Citradamous, but nothing all that special.

Sorry pham I won’t get over that.. or under it for that matter.

In other unpopular opinion news, I much prefer the Centennial over the Citra Field to Ferment by a wide margin. I realize this is all making me look like a Citra hater, but that’s simply not the case FYI
