    Wife is off to Las Vegas to visit a friend, so it's just me and the dogs. Today we're going to do some needed outdoor cleanup.
    As long as this beer is in the store I'm going to keep buying it.

    Barrel Aged Vander Bush American Tripel Ale brewed with Vander Mill cider from that place in Sawyer MI that I used to spend considerable time and money at. Tastes like spiked apple cider. Really good for a bottle dated 09/10/15. Seems like yesterday....

    [​IMG] This is for @TheIPAHunter DDH with Nelson,OAT, and Lactose. Pours a very attractive hazy yellow orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace all around the sides of the glass, yielding excellent retention. 4.5

    Smell papaya, apple, vanilla, apricot, and mandarin orange. 4.5

    Taste follows papaya, apricot, apple, orange, and a little hint of vanilla in the balanced finish. 4.5

    Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, nice gentle carbonation and soft on the palate, sticky not dry from the insane amount of hops, and at 6.5% goes down easy but drinks in body and flavor closer to 8%. 4.75

    overall this is excellent I can’t wait to see what they do with this knew single hop, oat, and lactose series. 4.5

    When it was first added to the database in 2012, it was listed at 70 IBU. Now it's listed at 60. That's the only "difference" I can find.

    Yep! For some reason my mind made the beer name "Interstellar Warrior". Not sure if it's due to the gender change of the warrior or not. :grin:

    Pale yellow with a cloudy opaqueness; huge frothy head, thick and sticky. Big citrus aroma; lemon and grapefruit. Light malt base with a tongue ripping hop bitterness and tart and tangy citrus flavor; some powdered sugar sweetness. Medium-light body; juicy yet with an ending dryness overall; acidic.

    This is a powerful American pale, infused with a ton of Citra hops. Its relatively low ABV makes for a fine repeat beer while the hop profile (especially if you like hazy, citrus-centric beers) will keep tickling your palate.

    6.4% IPA with Nelson & Strata with Cellarmaker & Slice (former head brewer of Moonraker).

    Delicious stuff!

    Nelson hits initially, with those diesel white grape notes. But then it transitions to all Strata all the time.
