You were half right! I got your notification when we landed in Detroit on the way home, I'm glad you liked it and happy halloween to all!

Today's our first day home and I've finally caught up and read every post since I left. That was 1471 as of the 31st plus everything that's been posted since then. It took the entire Eurostar ride between Paris and London, every lay over en route to the US and still another hour this morning.

 

I hope you enjoy them all man, I'm going to be blasting my way through your IPAs tonight with my dad!!

Have you tried any yet? I haven't seen the blind beer posted yet.

 

Glad you liked the box and letter man! I probably spend too much time thinking about the boxes I send in BIFs (moreso than what I'm going to drink hahaha ). I collected things through out my travels this year and passed them on to you! Speaking of, more things from travels coming soon when I send food and swag.

 

I'm glad you liked it man, I'm no Barley wine fan so I could never give it an unbiased opinion and only had a sampler in the tasting room.

I had actually set this aside for this year's 12DOX box, but a little birdy told me you loved Barley wine above all else so I pulled it.

 

Awesome boxes all! Just incredible.

 

And to finish out my slew of posts, I'm drinking my official mystery beer from @Victory_Sabre1973 so that I can dive right into everything before heading back to work. Also putting the new glassware to work..I really like the heft of it, it feels solid!

The top of the can was loose but I made an effort not to read anything that was on there.



Nice dark pour, I'm not getting any adjuncts but this is super roasty. I'm definitely thinking coffee porter or stout. This actually tastes very close to Parish's Reve which is my favorite coffee stout so no complaints there! I'm not thinking there's a lot of alcohol here but it has nice body.

The reveal:



Definitely can see the chocolate but I think the cocoa powder is what had me onto coffee (or maybe it's jsut been that I've been salivating over the new Parish stouts released today I can't have haha). I think I'm gonna put this at a 4, very glad to try it and new brewery tick!

Well, @Nichols33 hit me with some return fire today. He clobbered me with dynamite hops!



Let’s start with the Trillium DDH Mechler St. It is the best beer(IMO) that they make. Haven’t had it in forever.

My first from Vitamin Sea, Double Autumn. Love me some new brewery ticks, and I’ve heard good things about these guys.

Tree House Green and VERY GREEN!!! Always wanted to try VG, so I’m super pumped for this.

The next three are also from Tree House.

Single Shot w/vanilla beans. Had this one around this time last year and it was stellar. Tree House really knows how to do stouts. They are known for their IPAs, but beers like this prove that they are no “one trick pony”.

Curiosity Seventy-Eight. This will only be my 2nd ever from the curiosity series. The first came to me during this round also. Love the can artwork on these!

Ant the killa mamma jamma, Juice Machine!!!!!!!
This has been a want of mine ever since the first canning. Can’t believe how you just nonchalantly tossed it in this box. Jeff, I owe you for this one!

What can I say about Jeff that hasn’t already been expressed by my can of Coke while I was unpacking this???
