Loved the rye, just realizing I never checked it in to UT. It was a pretty bold, big barrel on top of the pretty substantial base

 

Thanks so much at @SouthernSips amazing beer from parish. I haven’t had beer this good in a bottle in a long time.

 

Just say down and I'm sipping on Abraxas, another amazing beer from @FlintB. Once again thanks Brian and BTW my wife loves it too.

Time for my blind beer from @SouthernSips .

It pours a dull opaque ruby, with just a hint of head. Nose is... unexpected.



Given the color I was expecting berries but I swear I'm getting nuts... peanut butter? On the palate it is lightly tart and the berries are there but now I'm thinking maybe hazelnut? This is one odd bird, great one to drink blind Gary! I've drank almost all of it, best guess is a peanut butter blueberry Berliner, which can't possibly be right.



Reveal: Chandeleur Island Blueberry Crumble, a golden sour with blueberry puree, brown sugar, vanilla, and "spices". Happy with the blueberry, but no idea where I'm getting the nuts from. Fun brew, thanks again Gary!

 

After making it back from Arkansas through a winter storm I needed something strong....thank ya @Franfab this is amazing this year!!


Also a shout out to Missouri DOT....thought for sure we were going to get stuck in some freezing rain in southern MO, but they did a great job salting the roads....just glad we made it out of Arkansas before stuff started freezing since they dont seem to have de-icing equipment. It was 75 degrees just yesterday in Fayetteville, AR.....haha
