    River's Edge 2020. Excellent BSPA. Great head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of lemon, orange, peach, pear, mango, melon, apricot, red apple, banana, peppercorn, clove, citrus peel/rind, coconut, bourbon, toasted oak, pine, honey, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, caramel, toffee, bubblegum, nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and yeast/bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy/tannic balanced mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tannic/spiciness. no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Dangerously smooth. Mild increasing warmth of 10.5% and lingering barrel booze. Not overly bitter/spicy/tannic. Great balance of Belgian yeast, fruit, coconut, bourbon barrels, and pale malt/sugar flavors; with nice earthy hop presence/balance. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Very impressive as expected of the brewery. Need to go back again soon. 4

    Drekker Cherry Pie Slang Du Jour Sour a la Mode, 5% ABV. Pours deep murky red, with a 3/4 finger of pinkish white head. Nose is sweet cherry, taste follows with light tartness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent. To me, it tastes cherry, but nothing in the smell or taste says pie.

    Bracing for the debates. Nah, I can't get that drunk on a worknight, so I'll watch something more conservative.

    ...I wasn't going to drink much today, but a surprise investment dividend check for an unexpected sizeable quantity has me very, very happy...got a much smaller one for a few hundred the other day, and per our investment dude, there is more to come over the next 12-24 months...all that work time drudgery that Mrs. Goot and I did prior to fully retiring last year is starting to pay dividends (literally)...
