What Beer are you Drinking Now? #2679

The Abominable Snowbeer, a Belgian Wit from Defiant Brewing in Rockland County, NY. It's okay but not particularly memorable.

 

Brochachosaurus. An IPA brewed by Bench Top in the great state of Virginia.

 

It was there 4 years ago - I ate my body weight in fries, plus a couple of dogs and a nice beer or two. Phenomenal spot, IMHO.

Nothing like a great hot dog. Lips, assholes, I dont give a shit. I am partial to NYC Dirty water dogs. Always have to get a few while there. Love the loaded Chicago dog as well.

 

Oldest sister moved back to NJ a few years ago. My next trip to NJ I most certinly want some NJ food especially pizza. We have some good pizza in Richmond but it does not compare to the pizza I used to get in NJ, NY, or PA.

Having said that, our women in the south are better looking, our weather is better, and the beer you do not need to ask. Stay cool my friend. Do not work too hard tomorrow. Have a good weekend. Somehow I think your presence will be known on WBAYDN at least for the next few days.

 

I have been in a mood for an authentic German Hefe-Weizen; this one is very good.

 

Bottle #2 (and the last one), had to break out the Monkish Teku to provide this magnificent beer with the proper serving vessel (since I have no Russian River glassware).

The fruity hops, the dryness, the balancing malt backbone is all as expected, but what I really appreciate is the subtle booziness - it’s like an early warning system: “Proceed With Caution - Dangerously Drinkable.”

 

Go to Chicago, visit Portillo’s. Get a beef (wet, with peppers) and a dog. Take a long nap. Rinse and repeat.

 

Ommegang bourbon barrel smoked vanilla porter...

#2, I could bathe in this. Roasty and chocolatey indeed, with a big splash of stone fruit for good measure. Love it.
