What Beer are you Drinking Now? #2679

I too am craving it and getting quite frustrated that it hasn’t shown up here yet ...

 

I'm in Greenville NC, and they are calling for a possible 5-6" of snow, just a light dusting so far. So much for, "The Winter That Never Was."
I'm drinking a Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter IPA, it's a little hoppy......

 

Stop, you’re confusing me.

 

You might think I’m in Georgia with the beer I’m drinking, maybe tomorrow if things go as planned.

First I have to start with an apology. The carving of the parrot triggered a story. Do not read on if you got things to do.

After my wife retired, she did volunteer work for an organiztion called Senior Helpers. Anyway, she helped a couple in their 80's. They lived on their own but wife had severe Alzheimer’s. Les was still able to take care of her but needed help. 87 years old. Had prostate cancer. He did not want an operation because he would not be able to take care of his wife. Went the radiation route. Fucking tortured him. Different story for a different day.

Anyway, his wife thought my wife was his daughter but her real daughters were ok with that because their mom was still somewhat still happy. The story ends in that Les was an awesome wood carver. Carved this piece as a thank you. Sadly, Joyce died and he did soon after.

 

Just as good as ever. Picked them up at the brewery today. Released on Monday. Piney, bitter, hoppy goodness!

Last day in CA. Thanks for the beer shop recs yesterday. Unfortunately I have 2 kids in tow most of the time so won’t be able to hit them this time around.

Yes this balcony is tilted as hell. Still enjoying the sun and 70s temps before it’s back to NE winter. Cheers!

What a work day...

Ain’t no beer like a hotel beer in a really short hotel room glass that may not be the cleanest. Living life large.

But good that I was able to stop at Treehouse during my travel today. That makes this a good hotel beer.
