How new is Arkane? Wife and I travel down to Clearwater most every year and I never previously knew of them. Usual stops are Cigar & Angry but perhaps I need to add these guys to our route.

Almost 4 years. Their beers are fire (as the kids say)!

 

Jackie O's - Hell Bettie (can).. it's a raspberry Imperial Porter conditioned on vanilla beans and cocoa nibs.. cheers!

The Brewing Projekt Dare Mighty Things NEIPA, 6.4% ABV. Pours bright and hazy orange with a two-finger white head that left some lacing. Nose is light citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is orange and grapefruit, moderately sweet, and slightly bitter piney hops. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

Stayed home from work while our countertops were replaced, only took about three hours. Now have to wait 24 hours to get the plumbing done, so may as well have a few beers in the meantime!

 

Across the Bay now, at CCB drinking today’s release - Jay The Welder Lester”, an imperial porter (13.5%) Apple Brandy and Cherry Brandy Barrel aged with vanilla and shaved almonds added:



Another amazing release! Almond nose/taste from start to finish; chocolate and boozy cherries, like an appertif from Spain; berries as it opens up; heavy for a porter -viscous. Amazing! Sad only one bottle ppd...multiple layers of flavors I like. Booze is restrained yet present. I like!

 

It was on sale. Haven't had one in a "number" of years. Tastes OK. $13.99/15 pack.

 

When this was poured it was already after 5:00 in the Azores and Cape Verde, which was all the encouragement I needed. Deschutes The Abyss

It's not nearly as bad as the reviews make it out to be.

The problem they have is the beer is made by (O my God!) Coors.
An evil empire if there ever was one.
I used to drink it all the time. It was released in 1995 after all.

 

The Brewing Projekt Resist Mango Smoothie Milkshake NEIPA, 7% ABV. Pours Hazy Orange with chunks, presumably lactose, with a 2+ finger white head that left some lacing. Towards the end of the pour it was syrupy orange. Nose is mango. Taste is quite sweet mango and lactose, and slight bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

Spring Break beers continue. Great to see this beer again, it's been a long time friend.
