Have a good Monday. Slept in today a lot longer than usual. I was up until 2 AM. I continued my game of Borderlands 2, and finally murdered Captain Flynt(was stuck for a while there!). My gun arsenal needed a big ass overhaul, I learned how to do it better with the first Borderlands. Played for 2 hours. Will continue the game today for sure.

Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Still tasting great. Flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop profile; with a clean pale malt backbone. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA. Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic hops this year. Used to have Equiniox for years, but I guess they couldn't find much this year. Still have a whole other pack left.

What a lineup! So jealous!

 

Drafting Table Blackberry Tarty Slip. Outstanding Berliner. Lasting fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Lovely ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, currant, red grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very creamy/grainy wheat; some lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness; no pucker/astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, mellowly lactic, not watery for 5%. Awesome balance of big juicy/jammy berries and Lacto complexity; with a nice sized pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Love it.

I don't miss it one bit. I've been working remote for a couple of years and actually get more & higher quality work done this way. Too many distractions, too many people wanting to kibbutz and, the worst part...they like to come to work sick. No thanks. I will, at some point, divest all my luggish possessions, get an RV and start digital nomad'ing the right way...from wherever the hell I want...



And, on that note, Light Hearted Ale. Becoming my new favorite. Need to get a sixtel of this one at some point.
