Yes, it is HS only. Hopefully you can hook up with an HS friend to share a bottle with.

But to your earlier point. I was more concerned about them walking away from the anniversary ale a few years ago, when they were pulling back on wide distribution because it was sitting on shelves. Now its seems like they've settled on smaller batches, which works for me.

I would also hate to see the anniverrsary ale disappear. Its consistently one of my favorite beers that they brew.

I couldn't agree more. I hope the anniversary variants don't go away. Every Bois I have had is insanely good.

It's quite possible that they take variants to the small format and put it in boxes for more limited distribution. They have done a few in the Hoarder boxes such as Cherryversary or the coffee version of Etain (cannot remember the name). I wouldn't mind some barrel variants in these small formats and maybe they have a few extras available for those who favored one over the other. That would be cool and easier to crush midweek or weekend!

Yeah I would buy an anniversary box that replaces Q2 hoarders box and was only anniversary variants. One for then, one for a year later.

Opened an Elizabeth Rutherford tonight. It confirmed my initial take on Thomas Rutherford that Thomas basically just tastes like wine whereas Elizabeth you can pick out the wine and BT flavors. For that, Elizabeth is my preference... though I can appreciate Thomas perhaps being a stronger technical accomplishment.

Also finally opened my first White Chocolate Raspberry earlier this week. I was slightly disappointed but only because my expectations were so high. The raspberry flavor is large and fantastic. My critique is that there's not much beyond the raspberry. I hardly get the chocolate, and there's not much "beer" flavor in there. So, it's super tasty and enjoyable... but what does it bring beyond some kind of raspberry cocktail? (a bit of creamy body I suppose, which is nice)

Agreed. I had just opened an older white chocolate with cherries not too long before raspberry and cherries had way more white chocolate flavor in it.

@dmui4031 do you know when the Ruekeller Pilsner and Offshoot 3 Anniversary are being released? They were in the teaser email last week but I don't see them up today with the other new stuff.

Also, any plans to ship the new 16oz crowlers? Even if just on a temporary basis like with some of the 32oz crowlers? Any plans to refresh what's available in 32oz?

Ruekeller Pils and Offshoot 3 will land toward the end of the month - we originally planned to release in line with the anniversary party. Yes on 16oz crowlers and yes on 32 oz crowler refresh.

Wait? 16oz Crowlers!?!? Where is this magic? That would be perfect for the high octane beers (it’s hard to commit to a 32oz Crowler of a 17% Beer when you have no one to share it with).

Bah, Loakal delivery still not "loakal" enough. Bummed that I am missing out on so many great crowlers!

Especially with current restrictions, it would be really sweet if the Bruery setup a distribution point for retrieving same-day deliveries in, say, Oceanside. Wishful thinking, I know - but it doesn't hurt to throw the idea out there! :sunglasses:

I do get my bottles and cans shipped now. I'm talking about crowlers, which you can only get filled at the tasting room or via Loakal delivery, which does not extend down into San Diego county.

Not sure if they changed it but they shipped a crowler down to me in SD.

Correct, this is probably a temporary thing, but we are express shipping crowler fills via TheBruery.com/crowlers
