Checking dates was one of the first lessons I learned during my craft beer journey. I got burnt once, then never again. That said, sir, if a store was selling SNPA from 2015, that's some hilarious shit. It was cellared accidentally. The beer that was forgotten by time, and space.

It was a malt bomb sprinkled in with some movie theater popcorn, diacetyl notes.

Afternoon BA's. I'm liking this one. Bitter citrus and some light peach.

Still indoors, still folding laundry...Mrs. Z has awaken, but is still in bed, and now with the dogs cuddled up...I’m working on a New England Chowder for dinner, plus fresh corn on the cob...while I “toil” away - Sunshine City IPA, from nearby Green Bench:

I could drink this IPA all day long! Easy, light enough yet more malty than Jai Alai, agreed like night and day to compare, but enough citrus hops to keep me buying this classic SWFL IPA brewed here in St. Petersburg - Cheers!

Of course. Some people will tell you that « cellaring », even Quads or stouts for months or years has been a mistake, most of the time. Never bothered to do so, and I don’t drink much wine either.

Definitely. Actually, the fall sleeplessness started in 2003, especially considering I was rooting for a Cubs/Sox series that year. Of course, one of the other teams trying to buy a World Series succeeded that year.

Time for a slow down beer, last of the pack:

Steam has all the Serious Sam + VR versions on sale as the 4th one is coming out this summer. Everything was 85% off!

Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Still tasting great. Flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop profile; with a clean pale malt backbone. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA. Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic hops this year. Used to have Equinox for years, but I guess they couldn't find much this year. Almost finished these off.
