Missed this tack-on beer note until I saw others, so belatedly - really sorry to hear that. I know that when my old cat Chuy goes, I'm gonna bawl like a 4 year old toddler. Sympathies, and the next beer is a toast to Lucy!

Yorktown is a great place to visit. This B&B is probably one of the most popular. A block from the York River near the mouth of the bay.

If I was from out of state I would visit Richmond, go east to Williamsburg, then Yorktown, and maybe end up in Virginia Beach. However if beer and wine is your thing go west after Richmond. So many good breweries and wineries. Hell even distilleries.

Tried Baby Bright yesterday, enjoyed Bright (from Tree House) even more today. Love the psychedelic can art, reminds me of this:

Hot and humid in NY metro, but that's late Spring and Summer for you. You like the seasons, you pay the price. Stay Safe, BAs, Be Well, and Sláinte!

I know I am famous for my poor pictures (I am able to screw up both low-light and flash photos consistently) but I'm also coming to the realization maybe I should let the head settle a bit and allow the carbonation to even out a bit after the initial pour before taking a picture. YOLO I guess

This is a beer I have been wanting to try for many years. Somehow I ether missed out on it or it wasent fresh enough. Luckily this one was canned on 06/10/20 which is awesome.

Toppling Goliath makes some of the best Hop forward ales and this one is no exception. I also love the can art work.

This beer was worth the wait. Its amazing. My only gripe is I was surprised to see do many particulates floating around for such a Young beer but other then that world class stuff.

    Cheers!

Surly Rocket Surgery hazy Ale, I'm liking it. It doesn't quite have the full body/taste of Jai Alai but solid. I'm pretty pleased with this months power bill...$97.36 with pool pump running 8 hours a day and A/C set at 77 in the FL heat. Last years investment into a new A/C unit really paid off.

Journey released 3 albums prior to the arrival of Steve Perry. The first two are my favorites. Put one on and don't tell your mates who it is....you can win some money.......

My only gripe with TG's expanded distro footprint is that some, not all, of their beers don't look remotely what they used to look like in bottle format. Cheers.

I really enjoy splitting beers. That said, this one from Long Live is pretty nice. Well executed. I may actually comment on it if I feel so inspired. Cheers, advocates.

That seems more like an issue that might reflect increased production and a scaling up of recipes rather than what container it what put into post brewing. I never had Lawson's back when they bottled their stuff but I have heard people say Old School Lawson's beers from when they were bottled aren't completely reflected in their canned counterparts.

Founders Centennial. Incredible IPA as always, one of my main classic favorites. Lasting thick head retention/lacing the whole glass. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread, light honey/caramel malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light lingering resins/rinds. Fairly crisp/drying, and extremely drinkable; never astringent. Never gets old, always fantastic. I will always love classic C hopped beers, even with all of the new hop varieties around. Awesome vibrant/juicy, and fairly dank/earthy Centennial hops; great balancing bready Munich malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp resin dryness. Been keeping it around more often recently.
