Saison Dupont, an obvious classic of world beer. The only Belgian brewed Saison I’ve preferred is Fantôme. I’ve enjoyed some very good American Saisons from Ommegang, Boulevard, Goose Island etc., but have yet to sample any of the Hill Farmstead stuff, which is a definite beer bucket list item for me. Cheers.

Fudge from Tree House Brewing Company. Was like licking the spoon when my Grandmother made brownies. Chasing Shocolah? You tell me.

Loved her character on Dr. Who; elle est merveilleuse, mais très triste et tragique.

Not sure, but I’m guessing there might be a variable representing diacetyl in the equation. This has a sweet guava yogurt thing going on, but also something that seems a tad buttery to me - whether it’s the proclaimed byproduct or not.

Pours with a touch of haze, a golden/yellow color. A dense, long lasting white head forms. As that recedes, sticky lace is left all the way down.
Big aromatic hops fills the room as soon as I open this. Pineapple is strong here and becomes pungent and ripe. Peppery spice, orange and grapefruit zest. A bit of pine resin finishing everything off.
Pineapple, peppery spice, orange and grapefruit. All there in the taste as well. Just a hint of cracker like malt to dry everything out. Lingering bitterness as well.
A medium to full body. Excellent carbonation that is smooth and clean at the same time. Really easy to drink and come back to. This is excellent.

MBC knows how to do Pale Ales in all styles. No surprise this is excellent. I'll definitely have another one (not like that is a really original joke now ha).

    Overall score 4.17,

We’re at Somers Point Brewing. I’m having Open Water Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout on Nitro. It’s the brewery’s first anniversary special release. And it’s really good! Lots of flavor and a great mouth feel for 8%. Cheers!

New Area 2 (Two Roads' sour beer offshoot brand) wild sour ale featuring a locally-cultivated yeast strain. Super lemony sour. There's nothing "experimental" about the flavor though. Not bad but not really worth reviewing. It's not hoppy, fruity, or anything other than just... acidid and tart. Not even that funky. I expected a better product honestly. Still gonna drink it, though :stuck_out_tongue:

Having a Chimay Blue from 2014. When we all were six years younger  I myself was not even posting here at that time. Time is an interesting dimension.

I did not keep this one with perfect cellar-conditions by the way, because I don't have a cellar. Just stashed it away somewhere in the house. Label says 'Grande Reserve', but the beer it is the same normal Chimay blue.

Result over the years is not bad at all. Some times beers like this can turn bland and flat when you try to keep them. Like missing just too much carbonation and alcohol. Not this one. Popped like Champagne.

Normally I have a fresh Chimay at the side to compare its rather complex taste. For now just enjoying this classic Trappist (still have 2014 stashed for another day).

    Cheers all!
