    Thank you.

I generally don't get long winded on reviews for a few reasons. Many times, it's just immediate impressions, and I just want to convey those thoughts without getting into the weeds. Other times, I know my senses aren't as developed or as acute as some (who I truly believe can pick out those bazillion bits of minutia to the senses). A big reason is I figure most people just don't have the time to wade through a long discourse of a beer impression. I like to keep things around 400-500 characters, but it's not a must-do standard. If I can say what needs to be said in fewer words, cool. If I feel the need (because the beer or my inebriated spirit dictates) to wax poetic, well, I can do that to. But that 400-500 character range seems to work well for me.

My writing style is based primarily on figuring out the target audience and their attention span. This site and forum in particular allow for a lot of leeway to write like you want too. I just figure a couple of short paragraphs will do the trick. Record the beer's essential qualities, summarize things with a succinct point.

And George Coleman...first became aware of him through his work with Charles Mingus. I'll have to look into 'My Horns of Plenty'. The only solo recording of his I have is 'Danger High Voltage'. I don't have any strong memories or feelings for it, so maybe I'll have to re-visit that one and see what it does for me...

And by the way, I'm smoking another chuck roast and some chicken thighs and skinless chicken breasts this afternoon, so your grilled meat suggestion sort of comes into play here...

This sample has a much different look; the head is rich, creamy, dense. The smell still doesn't amount to much, yet it seems more prominent; pungent citrus pith. The taste comes across more balanced; intense bitterness and phenol harshness is greatly tamed; mellow citrus flavor overall. The mouthfeel impression remains the same.

This go around seems more balanced and approachable. The looks and taste especially satisfy more this time.

    -----------------
Cloudy, soft yellow body; thin head, somewhat fluffy and creamy. Not much aroma; a pungent and acidic. Intense hop bitterness; some bready malt backbone; lemon bread; grapefruit pith. Medium body; strongly warm and dry; alcohol heat.

Well, this beer looks okay, and the taste is, well, interesting. The hop bitterness and alcohol heat are fairly intense yet there is little balance with the malt base. It's better than being one-dimensional. It surely screams intense hop presence...

Currently in the Zombie Dust backyard. Wife thought the rock outcrop was cool, until I pointed out the face at the end of it. Excellent beer, scary location.

This is the first year I'm not vacationing in Fiji due to the covid virus. In the past I didn't vacation there due to the fact I couldn't afford it. Cheers.

I'm not sure why I bought this, given that I'm not a huge fan of Sudden Death. It was just... there and I had a free slot left over in my sixpack holder. Like all of their stuff, this is pretty meh. Not bad, but not great either.

We just got to retire. Checks are coming electronically. Retired airline employee and I have everything I need including a traveling retired registered nurse that speaks Spanish and the Mexicans treat her like a Queen. I can even get her to go fishing. Wasting time with BS.
