    A Permutation 7.08 from Trillium picked up today. They said they went heavy with the hotside hops with this one. Piney, resiny. Fun and good but different for them.

    Can poured into a straight sided glass

    Massive three finger fluffy white foam head , great retention. , very good lacings over a hazy orange liquid

    Aroma is citrus , orange , orange ring, lemon,,

    Taste is orange citrus, tangy, hint of pine on the finish

    Low sudsing , hop nibble, citrus taste lingers , semi dry finish

    Good beer

    Beautiful, evenly hazy peach and apricot body; thin, somewhat fizzy head. The aroma infuses grapefruit, orange peel, and biscuit notes; mild funkiness. The taste somewhat mimics the smell; grainy and cereal like; big booziness. Heavy body; sharp and a bit acrid; burning; heavy on the residual sugars and possibly oats.

    I don't know. This tastes like a double hazy IPA in many respects yet really lacks balance and nuance. There is plenty of biting bitterness and phenolic qualities, especially with the taste, but there is a definite lack of pleasing juiciness to offset the hardness of the base beer, hops, and alcohol.

Hirsch 16-Year...

    This beer is tremendous. Sometimes BL stouts are a little over the top or too cloying for me, but this thing is one of the best coffee stouts I’ve had
