    Not sure if it was the heat or the fact I haven't topped 3 beers in a day since returning from California / Nevada in mid March, but 5 beers and a shot wore me out yesterday.

    Easy day today, maybe one and done. Founders All Day IPA coupled with blueberries, nuts, yogurt and a a baguette to kick off a hot Saturday in Chicago. Flat head on the pour, but tasting good.

    I like waking up by 9 on Saturday to tune into WXRT's Saturday Morning Flashback. Three hours of music and more from a featured year. 1971 is the selection for today, a very good year for music.

    XRT is easily the best radio station in Chicago. When a DJ who started in the 90’s is one of their “newest” on air personalities, you know you’re dealing with people who love their jobs and have a passion for music.

    Yes, the radio business has been in steady decline the past few decades, but I'm glad XRT has more or less been allowed to operate as they have since inception. WMET was my original station, than WCKG, until landing on WXRT for rock and WDCB for jazz.

    Was never a Loop fan, enjoy music more than DJ/morning zoo "comedy". When WXRT DJs speak, they enhance the musical experience, not detract from it. Then again, what do I know, I'm just a regular guy. :grin:
