Cease & Desist, an American IPA, at COHO. This is not your typical IPA: 6% but with 120 IBU and notes of caramel, raisin, apple, and pear. It’s a great recipe and well executed.

 

Straight from the can as I hang organizational racks on the ceiling of the garage. Great to see this beer in stove pipes.

Saint Arnold Double Art Car, really good Imperial IPA.

Spinning Someday My Prince Will Come. If there ever was an "underrated" Miles album, this is it. Some of his last recording with Coltrane, Chambers, and Cobb before he started thinking of his next great great quintet. Hank Mobley is on a few tracks as well.


Oh, and started my next book which I already can't put down. Homegoing by Ya'a Gyasi. I have had this for a while but haven't read it, her next book is coming out in a few months and wanted to catch up with her debut. It is excellent.








Also, @JayORear I bookmarked The Three-Body Problem on Biblio. Those look awesome, will definitely get into those when I get a chance.

 

Hit my back's limit for physical labor cutting down two trees and a bush, and cutting them smaller for disposal. Wife is still at it. Good woman. Very understanding. I'm chilling with my feet up and a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

 

The good friend of mine who recommended those put it this way: an epic saga where time, galaxies, and philosophy are the "characters." I can't really put it any better than that.

 

Sounds a little like Jeff Vandermeer's Dead Astronauts. Which is a "companion" novel to Borne, it can't really be called a sequel, its to abstract for that. This sounds exactly up my alley

This morning I took the kids to DD. I had an iced green tea matcha latte. So, this is technically my first cup of coffee today. Courtesy of @y2kawakami, this 8% stout boasts BIG coffee flavors.

S&M IPA brewed with simcoe & mosaic hops by Lupulin. Canned in 7/9/20. Good lacing in the glass with a light citrus nose. Light mouth feel and a pleasant bitterness that slowly finishes. Easy drinker that should be a solid beer to reach for on summer days or with meals. Cheers!
