The top of a Hickory Tree just took out the fence around my pool. Thank you Tropical Storm Isaias. If I'm luck, I'll only be dealing with contractors for the next two weeks. Must have been something in the trees:

And now I’ve got sunshine after some crazy downpours and wind. I’m guessing there are going to be a few more bands from time to time.

paid $11.99 at fort point market

    Bottle poured into a snifter

One finger creamy brown foam cap , good retention, settles to a ring over dark brown liquid with numerous streams of micro carbonation

Fragrant bourbon aroma, borkum riff tobacco, roast malts , coffee,

Taste is bourbon, coffee, roast malts

Creamy , rich mouthfeel, low sudsing , almost syrupy, coffee taste lingers but not bitter

    Good beer

    the calm before today’s storm

25mph winds are your basic rainy day in these parts, I'm guessing that's a good thing eh? Some of our big fall storms can top 90mph gusts/ 65-70 sustained. Stay safe

Well, here we call 25 mph a nice still day. 90 mph? That might make us close the windows, but only if we want to stop the fresh air.

Just joking. The wintertime nor’easters here are the equivalent of your bad Pacific storms too. Wet cold wind howling off of the Atlantic. When the warm air comes up from the tropics and meets that cold air, we get our crazy NE snow storms and blizzards.

Fresh Sip canned 7/29. I always liked this beer and have grown to love it during the pandemic. Amazing we can get some of these beers so fresh at our small local shops.

Happy Tuesday. I'm in eastern PA and, nice storm, eh? Ended up with a nice hole in my bedroom ceiling. Merely a flesh wound, really. But this calls for a triple IPA. Hop'solutely from Fegley's.

Making some Indian curry and enjoying this Yorkshire Porter from Queen City Brewery, right here in rainy Vermont. An English style dark ale, it is tasty, some hops accent and just the right blend of choco/coffee flavors. May have to have another! Cheers, all.
