It’s raining like holy hell here! The barrels are overflowing, the yard is saturated, and I’m enjoying every moist minute of it...another IPA before I go inside and begin dinner prep - “Contact Haze”:

Something lighter from the fridge now, a tart mango and passionfruit smoothie. Love this tropical version of Daily Serving from Trillium. Really refreshing and bright for the summer, with so much fresh mango and passionfruit. Smells amazing, can't tell if it's more juice or beer.. Pulpy fresh fruit, soft mild wheat base, little to no hops. Ridiculous juicy mango taste with tart passionfruit brightening it up further. Cheers!

 

I've tried every Oktoberfest beer on the shelves in GA, and this is my fave.

 

Cigar City in the ring with the Hazies.
A different hop profile for a change. Im liking it. Drinks lighter than you'd expect and loaded with tropical notes as you might expect. Second new beer on this, for me, NBT. This one I will be purchasing more of.

 

I'm a huge fan of this brew and at a month old it's about the freshest we'll see it here. Cheers!

Baerlic Beer Co Post Everthing IPA. Really nice west coast style. 7.2%
Centennial, Strata, and Comet hops.
Damn good. Not quite Block 15 quality for my taste but it tastes good after a long day of work. Cheers!

Today was just one of those days. Well, at least my beer is cold.

 

You're right. My story is attending a niece's wedding two years ago in Phoenix in early September. We left the reception at midnight and it was still 110.

Deschutes Fresh Haze.

 

L - Black in color with a tan head and little to no lacing

S - Tootsie Rolls, cocoa nibs, bourbon, vanilla, and a hint of oak

T - Cocoa nibs, bourbon, and vanilla

F - Thin bodied with moderate carbonation

O - A little thin for an Imperial Stout, but pretty good nonetheless. The aroma had me really excited for this beer, but I felt the taste was a little lacking. Would still buy this again.

 

If there was a “Beer Nerd Ten Commandments” (note to self: take this project on), one of them would most assuredly be, “Thou shalt not sit on thy Pliny.”

I do NOT mess with the beer godz. IJS.

 

I just had my first Zombie Dust from 3 Floyds.

And now I am having my 2nd Zombie Dust from 3 Floyds.
