Late start today, no early morning beer to start the day.

Draft ($2 off) and wings ($0.75 each, $0.50 for Bleu Cheese) night returns, staring off with Hubbard’s Cave Fresh IIPA One Hop Mosiac.

First time for me, overall an unbalanced beer with heavy bitterness overwhelming the citrus, pine fruity sweetness seeking to be free. The aroma was opposite.

    4.0 / 4.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 / 2.75 the final tally.

FFF’ new haze planned next, hoping for a turnaround on the beer front.

Rochefort 10. My admiration for this beer is virtually boundless and has been for decades. It is Ruth, Jordan, Gretzky, Brady and Pèle. It is Citizen Kane, Don Quixote and Bach. It is the Great Wall, The Grand Canyon and Ankor Wat. It is the Magna Carta and the discovery of fire. This beer is a towering monolith of greatness that stands virtually without equal on the Mount Rushmore of beer.

But I don’t want to overstate things.

    Cheers

I've been looking for this since last year, I live in SoCal. I've let SN know multiple times I wasn't happy about the advertising, no delivery

I had never heard of The Misfits before your posting here. Seeing the album cover on the Youtube link you posted, my first thought was - "Hey, it's @jhartley, I didn't realize he was a recording artist "

Yo, I feel like this song is relevant now more than ever. I remember when this dropped in 2008 and most people were disappointed. For real? If this came out tomorrow, rap fans would call it his greatest work. As my gf simply stated, though, we can't put a timeline on the evolution of people's tastes. As for me, I've said it as far back as you can comb these forums, Nas is the greatest rapper ever. Period. What about peace, kid? Peace...

Well, shame on you, they were one of the most classic, quintessential early punk bands out there :stuck_out_tongue:.

Second pour, Three Floyd’s Barbarian Haze

Advertised as a unfiltered IPA, brewed with a “barbaric” amount of Citra, Simcoe and Mosiac.

Not a haze, more of a taste neutral APA. Rated average (3.5, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 3.0), wouldn’t turn it down or seek it out.

Haven't had this in ages, and I think I only had it once before. For that matter, it's the first Long Trail beer I've had in ages.Rather dank tasting.

    Definitive 35

    Canned on 8./14/20

Poured into my tulip glass this beer is a light straw-gold color with a bubbly bright white head. Body is actually opaque. Head settles to a ring with soapy lace decorating the glass.

Scent is bright citrus and crackery malt

Flavor is a light cracker - biscuit malt with a nice lemony citrus hop note. Some tropical fruit. Clean crisp flavors. Nicely bitter finish.

    Mouthfeel is crisp and clean.

Quite an achievement at 3.5% ABV.

First one didn't take. So having another WW Pilsner.
Annoyingly, it says "Krispy Boy" on the bottom of the can.
But sure, I'll give it that.
Can't wait for the new Callahan album to drop.
    Cheers

Thanks to @John_M for my second (first was Fremont's) version of the Black is Beautiful stout, from Breakside. Here's the descriptor from the brewery:
Black is Beautiful, this time a blend of four different barrel aged beers in various spirits -
63% 18-month Oligarch imperial stout in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels
19% 17-month golden raisin barleywine in House Spirits Rum barrels
6% 17-month golden raisin in barleywine in 2nd use Clear Creek Apple Brandy barrels
6% 16-month old ale in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels
6% 7-month imperial schwarzbier in 2nd use California brandy barrels.

Goddamn this brew is great! smooth, dry finish, and a lot of different flavors going on,
