Inu Ales is the bomb. My son, his friend (who lives there) and I went there February 2019. It was like drinking in a friend's basement. Somebody who was a friend of the owner at the end of the bar had brought many special beers from the mainland and shared them with all the customers (a total of 4 of us, weeknight mind you). We bonded. I've been to over 100 breweries, this was special.

Doormat, a NEIPA from Slack Tide. This is just terrific! A great balance of tart citrus and sweeter citrus and tropical fruit with a nice bitter bite. But the tastes are delicate and nuanced. Unfortunately, this brewery rarely identifies the hops it uses; in this case the website says simply "northern and southern hemisphere." I think this is Slack Tide's best New England IPA yet.

Tasty ipa from my local brewery, featuring citra and centennial. These guys specialize in saisons, however, their beers are above average across all styles that they’ve brewed in my opinion.

Southern Tier Orange Creamsicle can marked DOB 7/15/20

Pours into my tulip an opaque pale lemon meringue yellow with a creamy bubbly off white head.

Scent is quite literally orange creamsicles. Plus pineapple.

Taste is orange creamsicles. Or Orange Julius. Remember Orange Julius? Think I'm showing my age. Cream and sugar. Vanilla. Cloyingly sweet. There is a little bit of bitterness that attempts to balance it out but is quickly overwhelmed and beaten senseless and left bleeding in a ditch.

    Mouth is creamy medium.

Drinkability for me at least was nil. I couldn't finish it. Too sweet and weird.

    Not my bag, man.

Good luck on the Wellington buddy. I made that for Christmas about 7 years ago and everybody loved it, but I told them- Enjoy, too much work you are never going to see this again from me.

I agree that the batch of this year’s Great Lakes is excellent. Had one with bratwurst last week. Bought a Bell's but haven’t sampled yet. Prost!

Ayinger Oktober Fest-Marzen. Possibly the best example of the style I've had. And yet, when I reviewed it 10 years ago, I said it was the blandest example of the style I ever had. Apparently I used to be an idiot.
