This made me think about last football season. Now I’m sad again. Both for not having football and not having bought a brisket for this weekend.

Maisel & Friends (Germany) - Galaxy Brown Ale

While I did like this overall, it's an odd brew and I'm not sure if it really works out all that well. They were obviously going for a hoppy Brown Ale here, which is probably not a good idea in the first place, but also really overdid the hops to the point where this taste more like a Red than a Brown Ale.

Heard this was good the other day and low and behold I must have grabbed a copy at a flea market a long time ago. I miss flea markets.

I was trying to capture the blood orange red sun in the dense fire haze, but couldn't capture the sun's color with my smartphone, so instead used my wife's pic of me shooting a pic...

You done well - that looks excellent, glistening from the juices which is what you want. Based on my last attempt at brisket I have to go hang my head in shame now . Nice job!

Fat Heads G'Suffa Oktoberfest Lager - Canned on 07/22. This has always been one of my favorites and it still lives up to that. Has a bit of a white grape, Pilsner-like quality to it but still firmly in the Oktoberfest category and is very refreshing and clean. This will be another regular for me during the season. Prost!
