Been to Shackleford Island many times. Thinking about driving up an catching a ferry tomorrow.
We normally stay up in Atlantic Beach/Beaufort!

 

Keeping it crisp. It’s very hot/humid today, but getting colder. I reorganized the beer fridge, moving a bunch of stouts in anticipation of some DFH Utopias BA WWS coming from a trade. Comparing UPS to FedEx: he got my box Friday via UPS. Mine might be here Wednesday. F FedEx. Go Zombie Dust!

 

Well you fellas sure got me lookin forward to it - just finished episode 2 with the missus...

Noticed that, did you? LOL. The daily drinker fridge has the wife’s flavor du jour, currently Empire Deep Purple. She tends to like one-off, seasonal, and/or tricky distro beers, so I usually rotate various oaky or citrusy or fruity options for her to try. My shelf space has Zombie Dust now (running out fast locally), some BrewDog Pulp Patriot Raspberry (I am recently “woke” on BrewDog, so that’s probably my last batch....but damn it’s good...), and the Florida Man I just inhaled...plus one Thin Man Awesome Jenkins.

I probably shouldn’t even mention the cellar shelves for overstock...

 

Ahhh, meat, mac-n-cheese, beer....heaven.

My trade beer is evidently in Ohio now...if you stop a FedEx truck to Hamburg, have him give you one!

 

I like this one more each time I try it. Nice quality in a beer!

 

Founders KBS, per some advice, getting weird. Added some maple syrup. Now too sweet, so a few fingers of Old Grand Dad on the side

It's been years for me, buy flush on that jetty at the inlet is a good place to fish. The clams were the best ever. It has probably changed, but my son loves the place like I do and says it's the same. This is good. It is a raw piece of the world.

 

I was feeling the babymaker eye.
