Found out this AM that our interstate rivalry game that was to open our season (usually ended it) has been postponed - apparently due to VaTech team COVID cases. Just like them to use a pandemic to chicken out after we beat them last year.

(for the first time in fifteen years; which isn't even, like, a sixth of a century)

Funny thing is reading the social media trash talk over which school is "handling COVID better." Oh, well - at least Duke rescheduled so we don't have to play like 11-12 straight weeks (assuming the season makes it all the way through).



A Virginia beer for the season in which Virginia's first game is now scheduled to take place- Port City's Oktoberfest. The first of three I've had this year that has a slight citrus (lemon) note to it.

Yeah, I recall both being pretty powerful. Maybe once we get Bell's back in VA, I'll be able to verify.

 

Dentist called and got me in early. So I got my registration renewed, got my tooth checked out, and found the beer I was looking for on the first try. I have never been that excited to find a beer before. Found a amplifier/receiver for $8 at goodwill next door too. Was so happy I didn't mind being stuck in traffic on Calumet Avenue while it was raining and pretty much every non major road with signs that might as well say "fuck you turn around." I think I donated the cable I need to goodwill though. Unless I hook it up to my tv? I should just wait for monoprice. Speakers are powered though.

What am I actually doing with my life?

This store is pretty much the best deal on most stuff but, this is outrageous though? Guess they're going for the masochist crowd.
