Someone recently told me Ology did the best hops in the Southeast USA. I respectfully disagree based one my n=1 study

Starting dinner prep early...I’ve sliced and salted my eggplant which is resting now...I’m also resting with a beer on my bucket list to try - Old Nation’s “Boss Tweed”:

A really well built structure with walking paths, lounging areas, a public beach and marketplace at one end, and restaurants, bars, fishing at the end of the Pier. Years in the complete rebuilding of the 1923 structure...worth a visit - Cheers y’all!

Wife is getting her arm added too, tattoo wise. Dropped her off while I ran some errands.


Now back home, I’m supposed to be cleaning until she calls me. But a beer and sitting with the dog sounds good first. Picked up some cold Tropicalia on my way home so who am I to deny it.

If you happen to come across it there is a srrawberry M-43 going around right now that is pretty solid imo. I don't know if it is a one time deal or if they are doing future variants (I assume they will)

I went to Denny's last night at like 1130 after I was out drinking. Had left overs. Crazy Spicy Sizzling Skillet. Outstanding meal. I got my galaxy A51, 2 days shipping.

Another old beer I found earlier that I never even rated and may never have even tried yet, Weihenstephaner Kristallweizenbock. Not tasting too horrible actually, nice toasty cereal grain malty taste, a bit strong feeling, clean, wheaty, a little bit of esters and phenols like clove spice, bruised banana, hint of red apple, mild apricot, orangey citrus, and earthy floral notes. I thought the hop selection was a bit interesting here and I'll have to look into it. Cheers!

OK, four new Collective Arts beers to try today while watching the U.S. Open, which was extremely disappointing yesterday but looking much more like a championship course today. The USGA and Winged Foot staff would have been embarrassed by the scoring yesterday. The wind is up today, pin placements are tougher, and the course is firming up, so scores are much higher. Expect Saturday and Sunday to be a bloodbath in terms of scoring.

Starting off with the Pomegranate & Grapefruit Sour. They've done two iterations. The first was a 5.4% Berliner Weisse and this is a 5.6% Wild Ale. I didn't try the first and with one review apparently very few others did either. This is on par quality wise with other CA sours. They are very consistent in terms of quality within this spectrum of beers. Cheers.
