    Time for a Hopzilla.

    The ‘64 Twin is back. Caps replaced. Speaker wire replaced. Unfortunately reverb tank had a wrecked spring. Replaced with a MOD tank rather than Accutronics for now - currently very impressed - big lush dripping reverb. The mid ‘60s 6L6’s have a few decades on them but still in spec. Cowabunga!

    Frontaal / Halve Taame (Netherlands) - Churchill - Bourbon Barrel-Aged.

    This is a rather nice BBA Stout with a distinct Bourbon presence and good overall balance of sweet and earthy, slightly bitter notes, with the dark chocolate and fruits clearly dominating here, as well as some good vanilla and oak accents, leading to a rather warming finish. It's certainly quite a rich and somewhat complex brew, just a little too sweet and boozy for my personal taste.

    GF roasted a chicken slathered in butter and 10 anchovies and then served it over croutons made with French sourdough that were baked in the chicken fat. It was insane. Drinking this as I do the dishes.

    Thanks @Joplamp! Cheers, Advocates! A playful flavor combo that’s done very well. Pumps the breaks before dessert town. Some dry and bitter cinnamon and stout notes that work well. Full bodied with a sticky sweet feel.

    Good luck with the move. Had a Michigan born and bred coworker whose Fatger prevented pit stops in Ohio, preferring his children piss their pants rather than stop in Ohio.

    Revolution is in Ohio, and if you have a drop close to you, definitely pick up Cafe Deth if you run into a four pack. Was one of the best all time last year, always great at minimum.

    Welcome back Raul. The 3 game series and tournament format is bogus, but enjoying it nonetheless.

    Likely last beer, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, paired with 8 hot doused with Tabasco sauce. Accept no substitutes.

    Enjoyed it! Marshmallow was well integrated. Had that sweetness upfront but so much fruit in the back.
