    Happy Sunday, virtual bar mates,

    Had a bit of whiskey last night, so this may be the only beer for me today. That is, unless the Bears go off the rails today.

    2018 is drinking awesome. Rev is my favorite brewery and their barrel aging program may just be the best in Chicago.

    My homebrew (262 Tapp3rs) Cream Ale started out as a NG Spotted Cow Clone, but, since then, and a bunch of iterations, I've done my own recipie. I think I got the water chemistry down to where this is almost perfect - always room for improvement, but this is dam crushable!

    Jack's Abby Copper Legend - Unfortunately JA has all but disappeared from my area, using their beer finder I can get them at two places not too far from me but neither are super convenient. However, Copper Legend was on the shelves at a local store and I scooped up a six pack after trying a single a few weeks ago; for the price it's a great value!

    This is not my favorite Oktoberfest BUT a joy to drink and again for the value, can't be beaten. Pours a light amber color with a generous head. Taste is bready, a little caramel malty and very crisp and clean Canned on 08.13.20.

    On a related note I had a Victory Festbier last night and I have a new appreciation for that beer. While darker and maltier than some traditional Oktoberfest beers with a different flavor profile in some ways, it's complex and a joy to drink, will probably pick up some more before it disappears.

    It's pretty bad when Cleveland drops 49 on you. I had Prescott in one of my leagues, at least he got me a bunch of points.
