    Had a lovely visit with the head brewer at Flying Boat Brewery here in St. Pete today. Sampled a a couple of lighter brews and bought crowlers to take home to WV, drank 2 beers and made new friends. Home now on the patio with Tui drinking a Dankful IPA:

    Mrs. Z had a third and definitive doctor’s visit early this morning and following lots of doctors, films and a cat-scan, the specialist announced that cancer has not spread to her eye! She is so happy! Feeling giddy tonight she volunteered to make dinner. Me, I’m grateful and relieved, and so happy for my wife whose battle with cancers has been a roller coaster ride the last 12 years. Cheers y’all!

    De Moersleutel (Netherlands) - Four Years Dinner.

    This is quite a rich and complex Imperial Stout with a luscious mouthfeel and distinct bourbon-barrel notes. While it may be just a tad too sweet for my personal taste, there are some roasted, bitter notes to balance this out, while it never gets too boozy either, despite a nice, warming bourbon presence in the finish. Overall, this makes for a rather enjoyable sipper, best enjoyed by the fireplace I reckon, that is rich, complex and well-balanced.

    I can't say for sure, but this may have been locally purchased or gotten through Tavour...any way, I used to see it locally years and years ago...it's a beautiful monster...
