Just got my first package from Tavour. Came on time with every beer I ordered. Wasn't looking to score something rare, just wanted a few beers I've never tried before. The big score was the Jester King bottle. So 5 stars.
I have been able to tick off a couple of US states thanks to Tavour. I hit Nevada on my first box, and the next I will get Arizona. Now they need to offer something from New Mexico.
Just received another Tavour box & the process was just as smooth as usual & the box arrived a couple days faster than normal. The downside is the local delivery service guy remembered our house & that my wife "usually works in the basement & can't hear the doorbell". I might have a problem.
Me too, but I think we will be waiting awhile. But it will be nice to tick off the last of the states west of the Mississippi.
Somebody mentioned they did it earlier and the first box was great. The second box contained old IPAs and a few beers they could buy locally and then the wrote an email to tavour about it and the third box was similar issues to box 2 so they stopped. I have trouble letting other people pick beers for me.
My first box was scheduled to be delivered today or tomorrow. Tavour status now says: Your beer has been delayed on it's way to your local delivery service, United Parcel Service. It is currently in Washington, MD and is pending delivery to United Parcel Service. What's weird is Washington, MD doesn't even seem to be a place on the map. There's a Washington County and Fort Washington, but no Washington, so I don't even know how close it might be. Can't say I wasn't warned!
Got my first box from tavour recently which was loaded with a very decent mix of beer. For me they were great as far as communication, delivery, and selection. I stopped a subscription with a different company after they kept sending some really awful beer. So far everything I've tried that tavour sent has been good toreally good.
Im ultra cautious recommending any particular business or service. That being said, so far the beer from tavour has been really good. This is listed as a black bock but it is really flavorful and wish I could get more. They gave me a promotion code to save on a purchase which anyone can use so if interested just send me a pm. post image urls
Tavour has been on a tear lately of releasing holiday bundles at random times of the day. Other half bundle, schramms yesterday and anchorage ten years , wendigo, the sacrifice today. I’ve missed them all, except passed on other half. But cool to see the packages
There was also a Horus collab BA Barleywine that popped up. By the time I looked it up and navigated back it was gone, then taken off the app shortly after. Also had WW Starriest Night for an afternoon.
Never saw the Horus one, all those they’ve sold out before I could even look at them and today I checked close to hourly, being my off day. I did grab the 2 starriest nights though
Currently used Tavour twice and have had no issues so far in terms of items not shipping or the packaging being messed up. Everything has worked smoothly, I would say. Only thing I would caution on is how their entire marketing is based on everything being the latest and greatest, when you can EASILY hold off. (Also, I don't like buying IPAs from them because there's no guarantee of freshness. I mostly stick to stouts, lagers and sours). Trust me, your wallet will thank you later.
Was able to grab a dark charge holiday bundle today, pretty excited about this as A few years ago my brother gave me a dark charge and it was delicious. One of the more reasonable priced ones too
To piggy back on the general online retailer discussion - what has your experience been like with Half Time Beverages? The beer prices seem reasonable followed by $25 flat ship rate for up to 24 beers. Any issues with freshness or shipping delays? How long does it take to get your package?
Do they force you to ship after a set period of time? There aren't that many beers they're posting that I'm interested in. I don't want to be charged $15 to ship a couple beers every 2 weeks or whatever.
