Cheers to @DefenCorps for the heads up on cans of Sunriver D'Kine Fresh Hop IPA on this side of town.

@beefandbean22 , this stuff is mighty tasty.

Having a Fresh hop brew from Oklahoma City, Stonecloud Brewing's Excalibur (No Stairway!). A FH murkster that actually lets the FH Strata pop through. I generally find the murky versions to mute the FH flavors too much, but not here.

Whole Foods has sold it for $11.99 in the past, but I’ve also seen it going for $16 a four pack at other places.

When I was visiting Puyallup over the weekend I paid 15.99 4pk at Total Wine. But my bro-n-law who went to the same TW the day before paid $4+ change for a 4pk. I wasn't as lucky as he was. They must of found out the price mix up and corrected it. Oh well.

Assuming "Coleman Ag Citra" on the bottom of the can refers to this listing. Not bad for $3 a can

Since you posted this here, I think I know the answer. This is fresh hopped? Showed up at Kennewick Yokes ($17.99). I passed on it. Might need to go back. I was looking for F2F or the FH HFOD. Struck out on both. Giving up on F2F.

According to the print on the can, it’s a “wet hop India pale ale.” Whatever the fuck that means.

I know what you guys are thinking (it’s a school night), but this a judgement free zone right? Had a tough day. Think I shared last week about my coworker. We found out today she took a real bad turn on Sunday and is currently medically induced coma...

Well @draheim, I guess we are sharing a pint. What do you want to talk about? My sweet new hat? Bought it on Sunday at the half when the Hawks were playing crappy. Had to change the MO. You can thank me later hawk fans. Or DK, you choice.

Back to the beer. I tell you this is one juicy haze. Very pleasant aroma and taste. Really good beer in my book. Nice job FtG. I do feel like the FH goodness has faded some (canned 9/25), but it sure shows up in the burps. Hoppy burps, sign of FH goodness in my book.

Guess it must of rained before they could harvest them?

In great fresh hop.beer news, I was able to order a fresh hop mosaic IPA from.my favorite up and comer brewery, Ghost Town out of Oakland, and it delivered all that dank herbal/blueberry/diesel character that I love from mosaic.

When the world reopens, do yourselves a favor and check out Ghost Town. I think they woulda had a break out year if not for covud. They do excellent work with hops, keep a cream ale and mild in rotation, are not shabby in the lager realm, and love rye. I'm drinking their sort-of-flagship rye ale right now and the impression I came away with was that of a different take on an snpa type beer. Excellent stuff.

And they call it "fresh hop" so you guys won't be confused :stuck_out_tongue:

I know it is unfiltered, but this is the most hop sludgy beer I’ve ever had. Must be all the freshies.

I had 3 different cans from Fort George (4 if you count the collab with Great Notion). All great. Brought 3 of them home with me. Not sure how most Washington folks think of Fort George but I like them.

I had their Mark of the Yeast IPA at Maven in San Francisco last June (this is why Untappd is awesome. All I had to do was look up the brewery and see how many beers of theirs I've had). Oh 2019. Back when things were different. Was pretty good.

That’s the Fields of Green? I definitely didn’t see that in the bottom of my glass. Must be why my 4-pack was discounted.

And sorry to hear about your coworker, I hope things improve for her. COVID doesn’t fuck around.

Those who follow me on Untappd know that for years now I only drink WA beers during Hawks games (#onlyWAbeer). I'd like to think my second half rally Lucky Envelope Strata FH helped turn the tide.

I'm working my way though a ton of FH beers left over from OBA judging (I'll share more reviews later), but this Fresh Hop Genetic Mosaic from Threshold is really excellent stuff. Big juicy fruit and dank flavors, nice aroma, clean malt, and enough of that extra FH kick to satisfy. Maybe a touch boozy for the ABV, but still very good. I've been quietly impressed by a handful of their hoppy beers in the last year.

I've been pretty impressed with Threshold in general. Pretty versatile despite being a small brewery.
