    Back from the apartment showing. Fortunately placed myself in third to see it so I didn't have to stand out in the windy cold all night waiting. Guess I have to go through some application bs before I can claim the place mine. About 10 people showed up, though luckily the guy said the place was only for one person and it looked like a lot of couples, so maybe I'll have a shot, we'll see. Never messed with a real realtor before so not sure what I'm up against here. Anyway drinking a Storrowed DIPA to quell my anxiety, canned 2 months ago with 1 can still left. Probably on the downward slope now, still pretty tasty though. Cheers everyone!

    The look is still the beer's weak point. The head is actually quite weak and the carbonation only fair. The aroma does smell of fresh floral and pine and resinous notes. The mouthfeel is all full and rich, carrying much of the same characteristics of my first experience.

    So, no change in the appearance score or the taste (which remains outstanding), and the smell and mouthfeel plus the overall get bumped up a bit.
    ------------------------
    Clear, bright gold body; lively carbonation; decent white head; splotches of foam adheres to the glass. Dank, resinous and vinous smell. Lightly sweet malt base with a resinous hop bitterness; pine-like and bracing; mild booziness. Medium body; soft residual sugar body; sticky; prominent alcohol dryness mid-way through the sip and lingering long into the finish.

    Per the brewery's menu, the IBUs clock in at 100+. I believe it. The bitterness overrides the strong alcohol presence while the base malt adds some offsetting value to the entire beer. This is a good high octane beer. It doesn't quite measure up to other well-known (and deservedly appreciated) west coast styled double IPAs, but this is one to try if you're looking for an old-school hop bitterness tongue-ripper.

    [​IMG] Enjoying this birthday beer, Intergalactic Warrior IPA from Toppling Goliath, on the deck. It is rare to be in shorts and a t shirt on a November evening here but the weather is fantastic.
    @beergoot another glass from my Father in-law from his time in West Germany The glass is from the 70's and might be older than me so I better be careful.
