Uggh, hope not either, as I bought two 4-packs on Wednesday. Hopefully my shipment arrives tomorrow (no email from the Bruery yet :slight_frown:) so I can try it out.

I'm still behind the times as I am currently doming the virtual and BT variants boxes this week...but goddamn I really am enjoying the BT variants this time around. Was thinking they quite would not live up to the greatness of the first box, but they are just as good, if not better, overall.

3 of the 4 variants down...liking Love at Midnight the most so far - best coconut application to BT Bruery has done so far I think.

I've noticed some beers tasting different in bottles or can than on tap at a few places. With the Black Tuesday variants this year they had more flavor and were much better out of the can/bottle than on tap, though I still thought they were good on tap but there was a big difference.

Just my opinion, but Churriosity is not nearly as good this year. I'd love to know what was changed, but it definitely has lost A LOT of body which is obvious as soon as you try it. This is thin, and you get some cinnamon on the nose but nothing in the taste. I bought 8 cans, and I'm really regretting it now. I don't know why they changed this one, but it literally tastes and feels like the generic store brand version.

I don’t remember what year I bought some cans but a quick search shows a previous can release was aged in both bourbon and cinnamon whiskey barrels. That was an awesome beer. This release doesn’t appear to be barrel aged at all.

Got my cans of Churriosity. Definitely way different. Agree that it’s thinner than I remember. I got zero cinnamon. Was not decadent in the way I remember it being. Drain poured half, super bummer. Reminded me of when I had a Bad bottle of Number Crunch. Tastes off.

Man... sounding like Churiosity is really embracing its inner 2020.

Having had a bad bottle of a number crunch it's nothing like that. That was a sour foamy mess.

Having my 2nd can of Churriosity in the last 2 nights right now and while i definitely agree its not the same beer as last year, super sweet cinnamon bomb (wish I had another one now to exactly describe it), it does hit the taste of a churro almost exactly for me. It's nice and smooth, slightly sweet (with no slight bitterness that non BA stouts give sometimes) super smooth and it end leaving me feeling the bread taste just as with a churro. Last years I couldn't picture having with a churro because there's no way the churro could compete. This years I think would be perfect having a churro with. Now I need to find one.

I'll be ordering another 4 pack of this, of course i would definitely order another 4 pack of last years if it was done that way again. I'm really curious to see how this is done with the chocolate variation. That could be amazing. Definitely wouldn't mind next year being a BA and non BA version of 1 or both :grinning:

Rum BA BT was suuuuuper heat cold. As it warmed up I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to putting a few bottles away and tasting with some age.

Very disappointing so far on those churro reviews. I have 1 can left from the first batch, going to do a side by side and report back in a few days, not optimistic....

If it weren't for the expectation set by the original Churriosity, would this batch effectively have fit in as a solid pastry stout offering in the vein of Vermont Sticky, Pain Perdu, etc?

To me its a much better version of the Pain Perdu. Both of them, I believe, hit the nail right on the head of the taste they were trying to get to. My own personal preference though I wasn't too into the Pain Perdu but I could taste what they were aiming for.

Bummed to hear about Churriosity. Needed six cans to fill a shipper so I pulled the trigger on six. Hope they aren't a total waste. I did save one can from last year to run a side by side, but I haven't shipped them up yet.

These Ruekeller beers tend to fly under the radar, but I have found them to be consistently very good.

    Looking forward to the dunkel.

Planning how I'm getting my BT haul back from California to MN. With the party box, how tall are the cans? Is 3 of them the same height as 2 pint cans or will I be doing 2 to a slot like with 16oz?

Trustee here, pretty sure I bubble-wrapped and fit two party cans in one shipper slot one standing on the other.

Just checked the fridge. Two party cans stacked are an inch shorter than a 750 Bruery bottle.

Totally right. Just checked my email and it was two years ago!
