Drinking a White Chocolate Warmer for the first time in 10 months or so in honor of the first cold/rainy day in SoCal, and its tasting great right now. The base beer is still the dominant flavor to me but the maple/cinnamon is there on the back, its a really nice aftertaste.Comes out a bit more as it warms too to really get the full experience.

    Hi!

Long time BA forum lurker but newly registered; slightly annoyed the word "troll" is not allowed in user names.

Been a fan of Bruery for awhile. RS membership starts in 2021! Preservation for the time being..

Ha! Funny. I just opened one last night. I wasn't really feeling it though... Nothing objectivity bad, the flavor mix just wasn't working for me.

Opened my Pasas Picasso. It's very delightful. Really boozy but not harsh. The rum works great; it layers into the flavor without overwhelming. Really nice extension of the Anniversary flavor profile without heading anywhere weird. Sweet but not overdone, partly because it's well carbonated which diffuses any cloyingness. Will definitely buy at least a couple more.

I bought 3 bottles. Tasted it and had to buy more. Very well done

Just got my bottles from my proxy so fingers crossed they drop some more for sale in future archive sales.

That’s a great beer. It’s amazing how most deep aged Bruery beers don’t get that nasty oxidized flavor that a lot of beers get after even just a year of age.

Me too and it should be even better barrel aged.

Good to hear that it's not overly-sweet. That's usually the downfall of rum barrel-aged beers, IMO.

Not to mention adding raisins! I really think the key is the carbonation. To that end, if the carbonation subsides over time (which I think is common) I think the perceived sweetness will increase.

Tried a 2020 Churriosity last night. It is definitely not the barrel-aged version that I remember loving. I got no cinnamon on the nose or while tasting. Definitely a thinner mouthfeel, as you might expect from a non-barrel aged beer.

That being said, there is nothing wrong at all with this beer, it just didn't live up to my expectations, based upon the previous offering. I will say that once it started warming up I got more of the dulce de leche caramel taste, which did seem to improve the mouthfeel. The next can I open I will let it warm before drinking and compare.

I think I recall @iLoveDonuts saying batch one was partially barrel aged and they just didn't note that on the can, so not sure if recipe actually different for batch two or if just updated packaging.
