The Duvel glass is also great, I've got two. The other real beauty of the tulip design is that the out turned lip greatly reduces the slipping through the fingers thing. You take it just below the lip and it feels very secure in your hand.

Jimmy Smith's Midnight Special, original Blue Note printing. The second excellent album he did with Stanley Turrentine and Kenny Burrell in the early 60's. The other earlier one was called Back at the Chicken Shack, I think they were recorded only a few days apart but the label released them a few years apart. Anyway, both are excellent.

Along with an excellent Real Ale Brewhouse Brown Ale.

I'm not particularly well versed In Jazz but recognize Blue Note, as one of my favs Van Morrison has had a couple of releases on the label. Cheers.

Terrible lighting, random cat food and cat food/coffee stains?

This is a 100% verified @traction. I can't think of anyone who posts as much as me with worse pics

I can geek out all day on Blue Note, they are definitely a strange company that has an incredibly long and convoluted history. Even Jeff Bridges has released an album on Blue Note in the 2000's

Trying out the new Brookline Ave DIPA from Trillium brewed with Vic Secret hops. Stanky danky aromas appear, then subsiding into beautiful floral melon notes, taste brings a whole hellhole of stanky tropical fruits, gigantic mangosteen, durian fruit, passionfruit, other exotic intense tropical fruits, citrus, with some earthy dank floral hop notes and mild biscuity toasty bready malt. Pretty nice display of Vic Secret hops. Cheers everyone!

Now that I have more time, I should make an effort to broaden my jazz exposure. I have the basics that even a non-jazz person has, (Davis, Coltrane, Mingus, etc.) but obviously there is much more. When I chose to dig and go down the rabbit hole of non-mainstream music, my choice was Blues. Don't know if you've seen it, but I thought Born To Be Blue with Ethan Hawke was a solid movie about Chet Baker.

Yep, I liked that one. Ethan Hawke was great. Seems to me you have a pretty good grasp of jazz

@StoutElk_92 , @beergoot , @ChicagoJ and @VABA all seem to have similar tastes with me when it comes to jazz, you can get a pretty good cross section from the music we post in these threads
