We are in one of those countries that have two days of Christmas. Normally that means visiting the other side of the family (that was not visited on the first day). Not visiting any ofcourse this year.

Surly Vietnamese Coffee Rum BA Darkness Imperial Stout, 12% ABV. Pours very dark brown/light black with a murkiness that is certainly the add-junks, with a light cap of brown bubbles that can't be called a head. Googling "head" does not return a picture of this beer. Nose is rum, chocolate, coffee, and slight vanilla. Taste follows, with slight sweetness, slight coffee bitterness, and a real nice rum finish. Excellent thick and smooth mouthfeel with just-right carbonation, overall world-class. They had me at rum BA.

How were you able to hold out for so long? Did you intentionally keep this out of sight, out of mind?

Of all the BCBS variants, BCBCS (Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout) is the consummate variant I so very wish Goose Island would re-release every single year. Perfection never gets old.

If it were me, there is just no way I could hold onto this for that long.

Happy Boxing Day! Opened another Tree House acquisition: this time, Wishful, a fruity, American IPA. A bit different than their other offerings, reminded me more of the Southern AIPA's I have tried, but I really did enjoy it. I hope y'all have had a wonderful Christmas holiday:

Second beer of the day is this 6.4% NEIPA from Mikkeller. Post Images is having problems, so I’m drinking Fresh Start.

So far, the only thing getting the Lions D off the the field is a Bucs TD. What a beat down.

This is a IIIPA collaboration between 1840 Brewing and Vitamin Sea Brewing. My brother is moving into his new place in Milwaukee, WI, after January 1st, 2021, so my visits to Milwaukee brewies will subsequently increase quite dramatically. I will probably visit 1840 Brewing the most!
