Allagash Curieux tripel for Christmas - up there with Tripel Karmeliet!

 

I'm back from chemo and I'm having a Campfire Amplifier from Dogfish Head. The head disappeared immediately down to nothing and left no lacing. Basically no carbonation. It smelled & tasted pretty good, though. Chocolate, vanilla and roasted malts. But none of the advertised cinnamon. I won't be getting this one again, but at least it tasted pretty good. I thought it might just enjoy an old beer, but when I checked the date it said Mar 2021.

A long time dream beer. Really a fantastic BA Stout.

Went to the local Wal-Mart liquor store today to see what gift packs were discounted. Definitely had to pick this one up, especially for $16!

Not really caring about making an Old Fashioned, but ya can't beat that price!

Also, made some Arabiatta sauce today, just to try something different.

Turned out pretty damn good!

Time for a beer and to start binge watching The Mandalorian S.2.

Pretentious Hopper NEIPA 7%. Nice local stuff.

 

I found a mini keg of their helles at the holidays a few years back. It was awesome. I drank the whole thing over the course of five or six days. I don’t recall it losing any carbonation during that time.
