My wife and I will be celebrating the New Year as we usually do: watch An Affair to Remember and When Harry Met Sally, champagne toast, then crash into bed.

 

I'm having an Avery IPA. It is simple and straightforward, the type of IPA that was around before the style went haywire. Citrus (orange & grapefruit), resin and pine are what it's made of. Plus, it's a real looker.

Secondly, please take care out there today/tonight. I know most of the people here are professionals, but today is the most amateur hour day of the year.

Little noontime beer here, Max Legroom DIPA from Trillium, brewed with an enormous amount of Citra and Mosaic hops. This seems to have evolved into something magical over the past week, like how the regular Legroom can was for me at first. Huge dark candied berry notes, peach, tropical fruits, citrus, earthy floral dankness, taste is still a touch green I think, with similar notes as the aroma. This might be a little too hoppy for me, I appreciate them stretching their limits to the max though. Cheers everyone, and may the new year be a better one!

Have a good Thursday. Had a good night at work 11-7. Got all the shit done. brought some cart and flower. I had 3 cheddarwurst and 3 sausage, 2 as sandwiches after 2 hours of work. We were going to waste them anyways. I didn't eat all day. Also got the 3D Doritos, which are like bugles with Doritos seasoning. I don't think it lives up to 90s hype.


Got my Amazon order yesterday. A Poetic case for my Galaxy A51 5G, and some Crichton books for me and my gf.


7 year revisit. Awesome DIPA as I remember. Lasting rocky head retention/thick soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate biscuit, light caramel/toasted malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready malts, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, Minimal warming 9.5%. Awesome Mosaic, Ekuanot, Simcoe, Cascade, Columbus profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on Midwest style DIPA. 4.13

Sixpoint Bengali is up now. It's overall BA rating is 4.00. I had it at 4.24, I think it's really good. It's very balanced. There's grapefruit, orange and bread notes in the aroma and flavor. It's a really good IPA.
