Haven't had this since March of 2019, and man, is this a great return - first experience was courtesy of @Hopgoddess312 back in 2014 - and it was killer - still one of my top 20 DIPA faves all-time... Love dem Mosaic hops, natch'...

Modestman Center of Attention. A fantastic, well-balanced, juicy, fun, and (relatively) easy-drinking NEIPA with a lot of flavor. Citra and Mosaic. These guys are superb and I hope more people in the MA/NH area take note of them.

JA Post Shift Pilsner. Solid beer. Clear, crisp, easy drinking pils

Bought the JA 12pack, 17.99: House Lager, Post Shift Pils, the hoppy lager, and Shipping Out of Boston. Good mix, definitely would consider buying again. If they replaced the House Lager with Smoke and Dagger would be really great mix. House Lager is okay, but figure I'll probably save it for when I need a beer for one of my smokes meat marinades.

 

Not really a fan of German breweries making 'special glasses' for their strength beers (even if they did it in the past), yet drinking Schneider Hopfenweisse in a tall weissbier glass would be slightly weird, if not off-putting.



Tap 5 is not as cloyingly hoppy as I remember, and that white wine/sherry character I detected in Aventinus recently (even in Tap 1 last night) comes in again along with the house brand spiciness and the American hops being used (not in the main role anymore). This beer is yeasty in an earthy, white-winey way, with even some slightly sour notes, some American pine -and noble hop?-, and just hints of ripe fruit in the back.

Definitely not your average weissbier (don´t expect any banana or superb drinkability), but a beer I would associate with relatively obscure Belgians from Jandrain and the such, weirdly enough. The aromas are definitely sexy and intriguing, and the half liter went off pretty much earlier before I was done.

 

Stroh’s Detroit Lager. Great lager. I don’t see the Stroh’s Bohemian Pilsner round these parts.
@Greywulfken. I give you props for posting Skynyrd’s first album. Excellent choice. I mean some Skynyrd tunes. .
