    Miller Lite is my favorite.
I don't mind Amstel Light, but it is hard to find sometimes.
Heineken Light is okay as well.

Anything from Live Oak or a nice table grisette. Enegren also seems promising, and what I've had from Suarez and Fox Farm put their lagers in the top contenders as well.

Bitburger German Pils, 4x16oz cans for $4.99. My go to light beer when I don’t want to drink a lot of it. Otherwise, it’s mostly Miller lite or occasionally Modelo.

I think Peak Organic's Slim Hazy ( 4.1%) and Fresh Cut (4.6%) are some good light beers, and at $17-18 a 12-pack are a pretty good deal. Aeronaunt's Into the Citra Galaxy, and Hop Hop and Away both at 4.6% are excellent.

Of the big brewer light beers I've had, Heineken Light is my favorite. It's dry with a nice pop of hops. [I think I read once that cascade hops are a significant portion of the hop bill, for what that's worth to anyone]. However, I have a hard time swallowing Heineken's super premium prices for a light beer. I've ordered single bottles a few times at restaurants when I want to keep my alcohol intake down, but that's about it.

Urquell is one of my favorite beers ever. I had never thought about it as a light beer, but you make a good point. I had never considered it's abv vs. light beers on the market. The difference in abv between Urquell and Bud Light is .2%. The difference in taste is astronomical. OP, the cost of urquell is certainly more than Bud Light but it is absolutely worth it. Drink lots of it.

Yuengling Light is kinda tasty for a light beer.

It's worth adding that the Czech people probably wouldn't consider it as such either. As a 12° Dvanactka beer, by Czech standards, Pilsner Urquell is a little bit stronger than the majority of beers consumed in the Czech Republic (which are the 10° Desitka variety). So even though it's closer in ABV to Bud Light, Bud "heavy" might be a better cultural analogy. The point made by yourself and others still stands of course... I'm just adding to the comparison.

    And the difference in calories is 39 - BL= 110 vs PU = 149.
    An increase of about 35%.
And Bud Light is the highest of the Big 3 lights.
    Coors Light = 102 Miller Lite = 96

Pilsner Urquell is even more caloric than "full strength" Budweiser, w/145.

"Light Beer" in the US was sold as a low calorie product, not a lower abv beer.

The 0.0 isn't any cheaper in my town. Glad I made it part of a mixed 6pack.

I see it on sale at $7 every now and then, but it's usually at $10, just like regular Heineken.

if i’m going for a low abv beer these days, i’m more often than not seeking out a sour, gose, berliner weisse, kettle sours, i’m finding that when it comes to having a low abv beer without compromising on quality and depth of flavour, sours are your best man

There has been a number of 'interesting' posts in this thread so I feel compelled to repeat what @jesskidden posted above:

"Light Beer" in the US was sold as a low calorie product, not a lower abv beer."

I enjoy drinking a beer like Pilsner Urquell but this beer is in no way a "Light Beer" since it contains so many calories.

    Cheers!

Just to remind y'all that when the OP asked about light beers he wanted beers that where "not strong". So, whether it was strong in taste or abv, he did not mention calories.
In keeping with the spirit of the query we should keep this in mind and not go off on a tangent about the true meaning of light beer.

Yes when my mother in law comes by to visit before covid she always ask for light beer not a mass produced light lager but a good beer like a German pills easy to drink that what she means by light lager.
