I remember that show. And thats is all I do when Im not in the hot kitchen in the summer. Cant wait to get out by the pool or deck and cook! I have a gas grill, a hardwood grill, an electric smoker for winter and a whole log New Braunfels Texas smoker and have a Traeger Grill on the way just for shits and giggles though I consider that cheating in a way.

Not comparable to good Helles,too sweet and low carb, but still enjoyable.

Hazelwood makes good lagers

 

A Lego Ducati Panigale V4. Pretty cool - working suspension, gear box and pistons. It was a fun build with a few challenging steps.

Didn't quite go full Steam yesterday - kinda full-feeling during the game, so after my Steam beer, had some St. George absinthe verte at the half (tastes great, less filling lol), and once the game was 31-9 (hope Mrs. @miwestcoaster made out alright on FanDuel ), snacked on some fennel sausage and a baguette with a sipper of Russian Standard Gold vodka...

Belated food nod to this salmon I had yesterday morning...

Woswers, kids - gotta be my all-time fave - it was sliced like, deli-thin, and whatta great flavor! You can see on the label it featured (an undisclosed) single malt (highland?) whisky and cardamom) - if you dig on salmon, check out the website here... I'm thinking an order could be in my future lol - got the pack in the pic at Whole Foods...

From a Richmond, Virginia brewery. Just because I drink a lot of Virginia beer does not mean I am trying to get in the good graces of the Governor. Although if he could see to it that I can get a Covid vaccination soon I would not turn it down.

 

Resilience make a very good NEIPA! I’ll definitely pick up more of their IPAs in the future.

Solid offering in the $12 per 6-pak competition...

 

One of my favorite beers, Woodgrain Yuge Maple BBA Imperial Porter, 12.9% ABV. Very similar to CBS (a stout) which I rated the same 4.55. Waiting for it to warm to the 50 degrees advised on the label, and sipping it in the meantime

I went through a number of growlers of this a couple of years ago when on government furlough. Saw a keg was available and was tempted to get a kegerator - but $600 is a bit rich for a 6g keg, though it is damn good. I note they forgot to say it's BBA, but it is. OK, just hit 50 degrees!

 

Modist Brewing Company (Minneapolis, MN) Special Reserve Mallow imperial lager - don’t get many Imperial lagers! Enjoyed the sweetness along with the mellowing from the oak aging. Not something for the everyday line up but a nice treat!

Also, if you find yourself in rural Texas northwest of Houston: stopped yesterday at La Grange Brewing Company in La Grange, TX (of ZZ Top fame!). Very pleasantly surprised- excellent pilsner to a pleasant stout with raspberry and pecans. On a farm/ranch - complete with roosters that say hello! Also a great variety of meads, all made onsite. Very nice people and great food. Highly recommended!
