Wooly Pig Farm Brewery’s Keller Pils. A hoppy unfiltered Zwick’lbier. Prost!

From a 16oz can with no freshness date.

Pours into my tulip a hazed brassy gold with an immense cake-like cream colored head. Good retention and full panels of sticky fluffy lace. Great looking beer.

Scent is pine, grapefruit, citrus and a delightful oniony dankness.

Taste is melon (canteloupe as well as green) and citrus up front with tropical fruit - papaya and guava - following. Oranges and a hint of orange creamsicle. A touch of caramel and bread crusts. That oniony dankness shows up as the beer warms. I love that flavor in an IPA. Pine resin. Good stout bitterness - I've been missing that in some NEIPAs.

    Mouth is juicy and creamy.

This one really impressed me. Fantastic IPA. Looking forward to trying more from these guys.

...got an hour-long upper body massage this afternoon and grabbed a take-'n'-bake pizza for supper, and grabbed some old LPs I haven't listened to in a while...

Generally true but someone somewhere is eating the best biscuits and gravy on planet earth, and I’m happy for them and one day it might be me

My favorite bourbon. I have one bottle left. Was tempted to open it but the boss (wife) said not tonight. She wears the pants in the family so no bourbon tonight for me.

Real Ale Real Heavy. Its actually legit cold in Houston for once (going to get below freezing and probably in the teens in a couple of days, what will the city do :flushed:) Anyway, good to be able to sip on some bigger beers while its cold out for once ha. This is an excellent example of a Wee Heavy.

Modern Times Orderville. I love a beer with a sense of place, and everything about this beer says San Diego.

Heading into a Spanish language film called Sleep Tight. From what I gather, kind of a psychological thriller/horror type deal.

Beer is from Sawdust City Brewing in Gravenhurst, Ontario. These guys are usually very reliable, but there’s something putting me off a bit here. They admit to artificial flavour on the can and you can taste it. Just enough to drop the beer down a notch or two. Unfortunate. Cheers. [IMG]
