Good Afternoon! Going with a barleywine this time:

Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot: Malt forward, semisweet, fruity, and boozy. While I prefer beer with more hops, its a nice change.

    Happy Friday,

Finally made it to the weekend. Done plowing snow, ready to enjoy my weekend. This one is drinking phenomenally.

    Cheers all!

Getting my snowy Friday started here with a new Mettle Alloy DIPA canned a couple weeks back. Really nice pink grapefruit notes, guava rind, papaya, juicy tropical exotic and citrus fruits, some earthy dankness, hint of malt, think I like this a little more than the one from January. Cheers all!

It’s a wonderfully drizzly afternoon, so I’m spending it under the gazebo with Spirit, a book, an excellent cigar, and of course a fantastic beer.

Workhorse White IPA is up now. I fully admit that I have no idea what a white IPA is. This has definitely affected my opinion of this beer. It's a very, very good looking beer. The can says creamy, tropical and Stone fruit. I guess it's creamy, but otherwise, I don't know. I'm only the 2nd one to review this. I gave it a 3.70 while the other guy gave it a 3.76.

Afternoon errands done...the front is moving through with rain and temp dropping...home drinking “Momentary Glimpse” a DIPA collab between Two Tides Brewing (Savanna GA) and Ology (Tallahassee FL):

A pretty good hazy. Azacca-cryo in the boil, DH with Riwaka, Citra and Mosaic. Milky pale gold with some clarity under a rocky white head. Ok cap retention. Grapefruit, melon, peach, skunky hop nose. Taste is kinda sweet and follows nose...like drinking a fruit juice punch. Medium full, no astringency; moderate minus carbonation. A tad on the sweet side, but overall very drinkable...

Score: 4.12 rDev 0% I added this beer to Database.

Forecast is mid 50’s tonight...perfect excuse to break out a stout or two. Cheers!

I believe White IPA means Wheat IPA, like a White ale/Wheat ale. It's possible they could mean something else though, I would expect a decent amount of wheat in it. Cheers!

A big thanks to @skochdopotato for offering this one up in our trade! Very enjoyable if you dig BA pastry stouts! I dig 'em and this one fires on all cylinders. Begins with a big cinnamon flavor upfront followed by some nice dark chocolate and barrel on the finish. Nice viscosity on this fella' throughout!

Grilling up some yard bird for dinner.
Maybe about 4 or 5 years ago someone gave me a bomber of ZD and I thought it was about the best beer I ever had. I’ve had it in bottles over the years and loved it. Now that it’s distributed around here in cans I only like it.

Home now, enjoying Finest Kind from Smuttynose.
Purchased 1 can for science, lots of grapefruit, bitter pine bite, solid malt base.
We have revisited Robust porter, (excellent) and now this super solid.
    Will buy some more.
    Do good
    Be well

TGIF BA's! I couldn't wait to bust into this Vienna Lager made by my local brewery - Yonah Live Once 5.3% abv. It's a chilly, but beautiful Friday in Atlanta. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready for Maibock season. Maibock season means warmer weather to me.

Now this was fun. I wonder how may people know who this gentleman is. I have been reading a book about Atlanta beer history and ran across local legend William Lee "Piano Red" Perryman. He was before my time, but as I understand it he was well known for performing at Underground Atlanta at the now defunct Muhlenbrink's Saloon. He brings some energy.

Sunny and mid 40's Ba's. Things are getting back to normal. At Black Lab after a 7 mile river run drinking their California Common. The beer tastes amazing after a long week.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you are able to have a nice visit. I have some great memories of visits with my grandparents. Mine were such simple people, who lived simple lives and seemed quite content.
